As always, tech gadgets will be one of the most sought after last-minute Christmas gift categories. From Personal and Family Finance, reprinted by permission, here is some good advice, and good information, about chasing those tech toys in the last hectic rush.

In the run up to Christmas, the rush to get the perfect gift, or the gift someone really wants, can lead to some bad decisions and wasted money. Not everyone can be an expert on every subject, and that is certainly true of high tech gadgets. It’s easy to end up with the wrong thing, or something much more expensive than needed, especially when you don’t know much about the product and you are relying entirely on a salesperson or sales literature. One way to minimize these risks is to be an educated shopper, and know at least the basics about the item you are shopping for.

There are two major roads people can following in learning how to get a credit card with bad credit. These are higher interest rate, or high risk cards, or secured credit cards. Let’s look at both and learn how to get a credit card with bad credit.

Higher rate cards

These companies will often charge rates of interest that are 10 or even 20 percentage points above others. Secured cards
